MY APPROACH TO BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS is to listen first, and lead with honesty, compassion and a little bit of humor.

BIOGRAPHY

SARAH SKERTICH, Account Director

Sarah is a hybrid communications and marketing specialist who is passionate about brand engagement. Whether it's a complex software rollout or the next sustainable product, she values creating the right experience with a succinct and meaningful message.

With more than 20 years of experience spanning global corporations to start-ups, Sarah is versed in PR strategy development and execution, executive communications and digital marketing programs.

She started her career in Chicago at both Edelman and Golin working on iconic brands including McDonald’s, Purina, ConAgra and Bayer. From there, she went on to lead communications for Cisco and Bank of America and took those learnings to support two technology start-ups from the ground up.

Most importantly, Sarah is a strong believer in surrounding yourself with people who prioritize personal enrichment outside the office, which always yields a positive work culture. Finding this at Approach has been a gift that keeps on giving.

Rather than defining herself solely by her work, Sarah is a mom, spouse, daughter, sister, friend and co-worker. Her fuel is learning from those experiences to ground her and breathe joy into everyday life.

Sarah earned an English degree from the University of Nebraska.

SARAH...

Loves a challenge. Whether its learning about a new client product or some friendly competition at family game night, she’s ready to jump in and collaborate with the team.

Has several ideas for a book. Usually these come late at night while trying to fall asleep (as all good ideas do!). But someday, she hopes to take her writing to a longer format. In the meantime, she enjoys putting her creative energy to use with client programs.

Has a “let’s go” attitude which has awarded her many opportunities that continue to shape her, and help her achieve clients’ goals.

Appreciates a to-do list. Call her old school, but there’s nothing like writing out a list and crossing it off. Organization is one of her strong suits where she excels at large-scale program management.
